Commercial Banking Company of Sydney
The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney ,CBC, established their first Stockinbingal branch in February 1912, operation from portion of a building in Troy Street.
The following year, the CBC purchased a site in Martin Street for a new branch and residence, designed by architect, Mr E R Laver.
Another shop was also built on the right side of the bank building and used as a green grocer by Mrs Torpy.
The CBC closed this branch in March 1941. The old bank became a residence and café, operating for many years.
The shop on the right was demolished in around 1990.
