Getting Here
Drive
From Sydney, head south-west on the M31. Continuing through Goulburn and Yass, then turning off at Jugiong. From Jugiong, continuing on Jugiong Road, then onto Rosehill road and follow the winding scenery until you meet the Old Gundagai Road, to which shortly after turning onto the Jugiong Road, with a final right turn on Gundagai Road that will lead you directly into Cootamundra.
From Melbourne, head north-east on the M31, through Albury and Holbrook. Passing through Gundagai, shortly after you will turn off at either two of the exits at Coolac and turn onto the Muttama Road passing the Beehive Hotel at Coolac. This road will bring you directly into Cootamundra.
Rail & Coach
Sit back and relax by catching the train to Cootamundra. There is a daily XPT service running from both Melbourne and Sydney that comes through to Cootamundra. Connecting Coaches can bring you to and from Cootamundra Daily. For more information and times, check out the Transport NSW website.
Cootamundra Airport
Although our Airport is not for commercial use, if you have a private or charter plane you can arrive in the township of Cootamundra by air. Following the correct Pilot procedures, landing at the Cootamundra Airport is in the prime location being close to the towns center with pubs, clubs, shops and more.
Getting Around
Taxi Service
Cootamundra Is lucky enough to have a Taxi Rank, just off the main street of Cootamundra ( Bourke Street). The drivers are all fully accredited taxi’s and are equipped with security camera’s and GPS tracking for your safety. Eftpos is available for your convenience and bookings can be taken for collection from the train station in the early hours of the morning.
Walk
Cootamundra is a very walk-able town, with a range of scenic walking tracks in the community including within and the outer villages. Some of the more popular walks include the main street, Stockinbingal heritage Walk, Pioneer Park and the Bird and Captains’ Walks.
Ride
Cootamundra is a great town to explore by bike, with a number of leisurely routes to enjoy. With wide streets, public toilets and watering stations you are all set for a day of exploring.
