Located in the old Railway Barracks giving you a glimpse at the past of Cootamundra.

To recognize the unique history of Cootamundra and district through the collection, research, preservation and exhibition of objects, photographs, written and electronic material. Remembering Cootamundra's unique History.

An ongoing project - The Cootamundra Heritage Centre was established in 2001 as the Centenary of federation Project undertaken by the Cootamundra Community.

Displays include:

  • Aboriginal

  • Railway

  • Aviation

  • Business

  • Commerce

  • Cootamundra Military

Call in for a "Glimpse of the Past" and gain an insight into the history of Cootamundra and district.

Open 9am - 5pm everyday.

Entry by donation.

Please note: The Cootamundra Heritage Centre is an old building and provides some difficulty accessing and mobility issues. There is a ramp at the rear of the building to compensate access at the front of the building. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
